Online Giving

Q: Why should I give online?

It's a personal preference, but here are a few of the benefits we think you might find through online giving..

  • It's a step of faith...deciding in advance to give faithfully.
  • It helps simplify life...no trying to remember whether or not you've given this month.
  • It allows you to give consistently...even when you're not at church.
  • It allows you to focus on the service when you're at church...no more digging for a pen in the dark.

Q: How do I give online?

Click the "online giving" button and follow the prompts to create an account and set up your contribution.

Q: I clicked the "online giving" button and nothing happens.

When you click "online giving", a new browser window is opened.  If you are using a pop-up blocker such as the Google Toolbar, Norton Internet Security, or Pop-Up Stopper, the window will not open.  Most tools will allow you to permit pop-ups on a specific web site.  In order to use the "online giving", you will need to allow pop-ups within VisitGraceChurch.com.

Q: When would this automatic contribution be charged to my account?

On the signup screens, you can specify whether you want your contribution made one time, weekly, twice per month (1st and the 15th), monthly, quartery, or yearly.  You can set up as many schedules as you would like, so it is possible to give a monthly gift as well as a weekly one.

Q: Can I test this by giving one time?

Yes.  You may test "online giving" by selecting "One Time" in the frequencey drop down box of the signup process.

Q: How can I keep a record of the amount I have contributed?

At any time you can view your record of "online" giving by viewing the Contribution History box.  This will provide each donation you made, when you made it, and a year-to-date total.  We also send quarterly and year end statements directly to your home address.

Q: Can I give to the Building Fund (Ultimate Investment)?

Yes.  Select Pledge Drive.  The Pledge Drive is for contributions over and above normal tithes and offerings.  Note: You will need to set up two different schedules to give to both the General Fund and the Building Fund online.

Q: How do I participate in the weekly offering if my contribution is automatically processed online?

You can still participate in the offering during the services by reflecting on the message of the song or media that is being presented.

Q: Can I use my debit card?

Yes, as long as it's MasterCard or Visa

Q: Can I use an electronic check?

Yes. Giving by electronic check allows you to pay using a checking account with a routing and account number found on the bottom of a personal check.

Q: Is there a fee for this online service?

No.  There is a fee charged to Grace Church for online credit card transactions.  If you would like to help Grace cut down on fees, we recommend signing up for eCheck service or using a debit card over a credit card.  For every credit card transaction, Grace pays a 3% processing fee of the total gift.

Q: Who do I talk to if I have more questions?

Contact our accounting staff at the church office 913.814.7223 x110 and we'll be glad to answer any other questions you may have.
